So I went and took the personality test about which "Borg" blogged. (haha! That's kind of catchy. ;))
This is certainly not the first time I've done a personality questionnaire, but it's always interesting to see how the results come out. I've posted them below. If you want to try it yourself, you can find the test here.
You perceive the world with particular attention to humanity. You focus on what's in front of you (the foreground) and how that is affected by the details of life. You are also particularly drawn towards the shapes around you. Because of the value you place on humanity, you tend to seek out other people and get energized by being around others. You like to deal directly with whatever comes your way without dealing with speculating possibilities or outcomes you can't control. You are highly focused on specific goals or tasks and find meaning in life by pursuing those goals. You prefer a structured environment within which to live and you like things to be predictable.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Not sure I agree with all of that, with regard to myself... but by and large, it seems accurate! (Those of you who know me in real life, what do you think?)
Here's a table to show how the different possibilities compare:
It might be fun, actually, to try to pick out which one you think you are before taking the test. ;)
If you do it for yourself and care to share your results, be sure to leave them (or the link to a post about them) in the comments!

I don't think this is accurate (e.g. your concerns for the economy).
"You prefer a structured environment within which to live and you like things to be predictable."
This, on the other hand, is more accurate.
Now that I understand what the graph means I would have said that I was more a Daydreamer or Visionary than an Illusionist (whatever that is).
I kind of thought the same things... And I wondered why I hadn't come out as the "Photographer." LOL! ;)
I can't claim to know you very well since our penpal days were many years ago, but I do think this part comes out very much in both your blog and your photography: "You focus on what's in front of you (the foreground) and how that is affected by the details of life."
For fun here are my results: "You perceive the world with particular attention to nature. You focus on what's in front of you (the foreground) and how that is affected by the details of life. You are also particularly drawn towards the colors around you. Because of the value you place on nature, you tend to find comfort in more subdued settings and find energy in solitude. You like to deal directly with whatever comes your way without dealing with speculating possibilities or outcomes you can't control. You are highly focused on specific goals or tasks and find meaning in life by pursuing those goals. You are a down-to-earth person who enjoys going with the flow."
Interesting observation, Maiella!
Thanks for sharing your results. I can see some of the traits in what blogging of yours that I've read, as well! I would say that I can particularly "see" in you the last two sentences:
"You are highly focused on specific goals or tasks and find meaning in life by pursuing those goals. You are a down-to-earth person who enjoys going with the flow."
I'm not sure I understand how they go from the choices we make on the test to the key to the types, but I got the same as you, Monnie -- maybe we should start a volleyball team! LOL!
The Coach - Humanity rather than Nature
Foreground rather than Background
Detail rather than the Big Picture
Shape rather than Color...
Hm,
still trying to figure out, for example, how I picked "Humanity rather than Nature" because in all the pictures with people, I was more interested in the trees or sky or water... Any observations on that? What is your PERCEPTION of the Perception Personality Test? :)
Oh, well, anyway, it was fun!! LOL!
I couldn't figure out how they came up with their traits based simply on pictures either, but it seemed *pretty* accurate, so I'll accept it at that. :)
